SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 17
That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 18

(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated. 21

(l) “Exempt material” means a material, or any portion of a material, that is: 22

or medical device by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, including associated 2
components and consumable medical equipment; 3

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect June 4
1, 2026. 5
