Bill H.2926

SECTION 1. (a) Notwithstanding the provisions of Chapter 34B, Section 19 (g) or Chapter 30A, Section 18 of the Massachusetts General Laws or of any other general or special law to the contrary or the provisions of any regulation to the contrary, a quorum of the Worcester Regional Retirement System Board Advisory Council shall be seventeen (17) members, provided that said quorum shall include the Chairman of the Worcester Regional Retirement System Board and the Chairman of the Worcester Regional Retirement System Board Advisory Council, or, with respect to both bodies, the Acting Chairman in the absence of the Chairman, or in the event of the inability of the Chairman to participate in a meeting, or in the event of a vacancy in the position of Chairman.

(b) For the purposes of this act, "Worcester Regional Retirement System Board" and "Worcester Regional Retirement System Board Advisory Council" shall mean those positions as defined in Chapter 34B, Section 19 (b) and (g) of the Massachusetts General Laws.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage
