An Act directing the city of Boston Police Department to waive the maximum age requirement for police officers for Jose Ortiz
By Representative Holmes of Boston, a petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 4256) of Russell E. Holmes (with the approval of the mayor and city council) for legislation to authorize the appointment of Jose Ortiz as a police officer in the city of Boston, notwithstanding the maximum age requirement. Bill H.4256

SECTION 1.

Notwithstanding chapter 43 of the acts of 2007 or any other general or special law to the contrary, the city of Boston police department shall waive the maximum age requirement for original appointment of police officers for Jose Ortiz. If Jose Ortiz meets all other requirements set forth by the Boston police department, he shall be eligible to have his name certified for original appointment to the position of police officer.

SECTION 2.

This act shall take effect upon its passage.
