An Act relative to the charter of the town of Westborough
By Representatives Donaghue of Westborough and Kane of Shrewsbury, a petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 4751) of Kate Donaghue, Hannah Kane and Michael O. Bill H.4751

SECTION 1. Section 2-8 of the charter of the town of Westborough, which is on file in the office of the archivist of the commonwealth, as provided in section 12 of chapter 43B of the General Laws, is hereby amended by striking out the fourth sentence of said section in its entirety and inserting in place thereof the following sentence: - The Select Board shall place on the warrant for Annual Town Meeting any article requested in writing by town boards and officers, or by not less than fifty registered voters of the town.

SECTION 2. Section 2-8 of the charter of the town of Westborough, which is on file in the office of the archivist of the commonwealth, as provided in section 12 of chapter 43B of the General Laws, is hereby further amended by striking out the eighth sentence of said section in its entirety and inserting in place thereof the following sentence: - Warrants and articles for a special Town Meeting shall follow the procedures under the General Laws.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
