Frost (by vote of the town) that the town of Leicester be authorized to continue the employment of Kenneth M. Antanavica as police chief of said town. Public Service. [Local Approval Received.]

Bill H.5420

Section 1. Notwithstanding Chapter 32, or any general or special law to the contrary, Kenneth M. Antanavica, Police Chief of the Town of Leicester, may continue to serve in the position of Police Chief up to April 30, 2028, the last day of the month of his 70th birthday, or until the date of his retirement, non-reappointment, or the date he is relieved of his duties by the town, whichever occurs first; provided, however, that he is mentally and physically capable of performing the duties of his office. No further deductions were made from the regular compensation of Kenneth M. Antanavica under Chapter 32 of the General Laws for any service subsequent to April 30, 2025, and upon retirement, he shall receive a superannuation retirement allowance equal to that which he would have been entitled had he retired on that date.

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
