Bill S.2925

SECTION 1.

Notwithstanding sections 5-3-1 and 5-3-2 of the charter of the town of Plymouth or any other general or special law to the contrary, all acts and proceedings of representative town meetings held in the town of Plymouth on or after March 18, 2020 and all actions and proceedings in reliance thereon are hereby ratified, validated and confirmed notwithstanding that some members of the representative town meeting were not sworn in within 30 days after their election.

Any representative town meeting member serving on the effective date of this act who was not sworn in within 30 days after the election shall continue to serve in that position until the expiration of their unexpired term unless sooner vacated.

SECTION 2. Notwithstanding section 1 of chapter 123 of the by-laws of the town of Plymouth or any other general or special law to the contrary, all acts and proceedings conducted by elected and appointed officials in the town of Plymouth on or after April 11, 2015 and all actions and proceedings taken in reliance thereon are hereby ratified, validated and confirmed notwithstanding that some elected and appointed officials may have not been sworn in within 30 days after their election.

Any appointed official serving in office on the effective date of this act who was not sworn in within 30 days after their appointment shall continue to serve in such position until the expiration of their unexpired term unless sooner vacated.

SECTION 3.

This act shall take effect upon its passage.
