SUBSTITUTE FOR
HOUSE BILL NO. 4703
A bill to amend 1956 PA 218, entitled
"The insurance code of 1956,"
(MCL 500.100 to 500.8302) by adding section 3406ss.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 3406ss. An insurer that delivers, issues for delivery, or 1
renews in this state a health insurance policy shall provide 2
coverage for group prenatal care services. As used in this section: 3
(a) "Group prenatal care services" means not more than 12 4
prenatal care visits provided in a group setting that are based on 5
an evidence-based model. 6
(b) "Group setting" means a group of not fewer than 3 7
individuals. 8
