HOUSE BILL NO. 5744

A bill to amend 1931 PA 328, entitled
"The Michigan penal code,"
(MCL 750.1 to 750.568) by adding section 234g.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 234g. (1) Except as provided in subsection (2), an 1
individual who intentionally discharges a firearm at a motor 2
vehicle that the individual knows or has reason to believe is 3
occupied is guilty of a felony punishable by imprisonment for not 4
more than 10 years or a fine of not more than $10,000.00, or both. 5
(2) An individual who violates subsection (1) and who knows or 6

Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days 4
after the date it is enacted into law. 5
Enacting section 2. This act may be cited as "Messiah's Law". 6
