SUBSTITUTE FOR
HOUSE BILL NO. 5755
A bill to amend 1984 PA 431, entitled
"The management and budget act,"
(MCL 18.1101 to 18.1594) by adding section 274.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 274. (1) The department shall issue directives requiring 1
all state agencies to submit all legislative reports to the 2
department. A state agency shall include in its initial submission 3
to the department all legislative reports that were required during 4
the 10-year period immediately preceding the effective date of the 5
amendatory act that added this section. 6
(2) Not later than 90 days after the effective date of the 7
amendatory act that added this section, the department shall 8
develop and operate a website to publish the legislative reports 9

that it receives under subsection (1). The website must meet both 1
of the following requirements: 2
(a) Be accessible to the public at no cost. 3
(b) Be searchable. 4
(3) As used in this section, "legislative report" means a 5
report that a state agency is required by law to submit to the 6
legislature. 7
