HOUSE BILL NO. 5908

A bill to amend 1968 PA 302, entitled
"An act to define and prescribe the penalties for the crime of
rioting and related crimes; and to repeal certain acts and parts of
acts,"
by amending section 4 (MCL 752.544), as amended by 1988 PA 393.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 4. (1) A violation of section 1 , 2, or 2a is a felony, 1
punishable by imprisonment for life or any term of years but not 2
more less than 10 5 years in prison or and a fine of not more than 3
$10,000.00. , or both. 4
(2) A violation of section 2 is a felony punishable by 5
April 29, 2026, Introduced by Reps. Hoadley, St. Germaine, Wozniak, Pavlov and Bruck and
referred to Committee on Judiciary.
