SENATE BILL NO. 907

A bill to designate Eid al-Adha, Eid al-Fitr, and Eid al-
Ghadeer as holidays in this state.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 1. The legislature declares that the tenth day of the 1
month of Dhul Hijjah, according to the Islamic Hijri calendar, 2
shall be known as "Eid al-Adha". 3
Sec. 2. The legislature declares that the first day of the 4
month of Shawwal, according to the Islamic Hijri calendar, shall be 5
known as "Eid al-Fitr". 6
Sec. 3. The legislature declares that the eighteenth day of 7
April 21, 2026, Introduced by Senators CAMILLERI, POLEHANKI, SHINK, CHANG,
CAVANAGH, IRWIN, MCMORROW, BAYER, KLINEFELT and SINGH and referred to
Committee on Government Operations.
