A bill for an act relating to agriculture; modifying per diem compensation for Minnesota Agricultural Education Leadership Council officers and Agricultural Utilization Research Institute board of directors; amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, sections 41D.01, subdivision 3; 116V.01, by adding a subdivision. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 41D.01, subdivision 3, is amended to read: Subd. 3. Council officers; terms and compensation of appointees; staff. (a) The chairs of the legislative committees with jurisdiction over agriculture policy, or their designees, are the cochairs of the council. (b) The council's membership terms, compensation, filling of vacancies, and removal of members are as provided in section 15.0575 new text begin , except that a member who is not a member of the house of representatives or senate may be compensated at the rate of up to $125 per day after approval by the council new text end .
