A bill for an act

relating to environment; requiring the commissioner of the Pollution Control

Agency to maintain a web-based permit application tracker; amending Minnesota

Statutes 2024, section 116.07, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 116.07, is amended by adding a subdivision

to read:

Permit application tracker.

The commissioner must establish, maintain, and

continually improve a web-based application that allows applicants and members of the

public to track the status of permit applications submitted to the agency. The information

available through the tracker must include the facility name, permit program category,

permit type, facility identification number, permit number, and the dates on which steps in

the permitting process were completed.
