a fee for electronically depositing a check; proposing coding for new law in

Minnesota Statutes, chapters 48; 52.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

(a) For purposes of this section, "electronic check" has the meaning given in Code of

Federal Regulations, title 12, section 229.2, paragraph (ggg).

(b) A state bank is prohibited from charging a fee to deposit an electronic check.
