A bill for an act relating to transportation; authorizing certain organizations to use grant awards to pay administrative costs for the Lights On program; amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 169.515, subdivision 5. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 169.515, subdivision 5, is amended to read: Subd. 5. Use of grant award. (a) Applicants must keep records of vouchers distributed and records of all expenses associated with awarded grant money. (b) deleted text begin Applicants deleted text end new text begin Counties, cities, towns, the State Patrol, and local law enforcement agencies, including law enforcement agencies of a federally recognized Tribe, new text end must not use awarded grant money for administrative costs.
