A bill for an act

relating to capital investment; appropriating money for bridge restoration in the

city of Redwood Falls; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Appropriation.

$1,300,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund

to the commissioner of transportation for a grant to the city of Redwood Falls to design and

construct restoration of the historic WPA 1938 Swayback Bridge No. 89859. This

appropriation includes money for cofferdam access stone replacement and tuckpointing

necessary to preserve and protect the granite and masonry exterior. The grant under this

subdivision is exempt from the requirements in Minnesota Statutes, sections 16B.32,

16B.325, 216C.19, and 216C.20.

Bond sale.

To provide the money appropriated in this section from the bond

proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of

the state in an amount up to $1,300,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect

prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota

Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
