AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF 1
HEALTH FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDS FOR THE MISSISSIPPI 2
HOSPITAL EMERGENCY GRANT PROGRAM ESTABLISHED IN HOUSE BILL NO. 3
_____, 2026 REGULAR SESSION, FOR THE PERIOD BEGINNING UPON THE 4
PASSAGE OF THIS ACT AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the State Department of Health 9
for the purpose of providing funds for the Mississippi Hospital 10
Emergency Grant Program established in House Bill No. _____, 2026 11
Regular Session, for the period beginning upon the passage of this 12
act and ending June 30, 2027..................... $ 50,000,000.00. 13
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 14
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 15
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 16
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 17
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 18
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 19
