AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 29, CHAPTER 102, LAWS OF 2021, AS 1
AMENDED BY CHAPTER 51, LAWS OF 2022, TO REVISE THE PURPOSE OF A 2
CERTAIN PROJECT FUNDED FROM THE FISCAL YEAR 2022 APPROPRIATION TO 3
THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION; AND FOR RELATED 4
PURPOSES. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. Section 29, Chapter 102, Laws of 2021, as amended 7
by Chapter 51, Laws of 2022, is amended as follows: 8
Section 29. Of the funds appropriated under the provisions 9
of Section 2, Ninety-seven Million Five Hundred Sixty-eight 10
Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($97,568,800.00) or so much 11
thereof, shall be derived out of any money in the State Treasury 12
to the credit of the Capital Expense Fund, as created in Section 13
27-103-303, Mississippi Code of 1972, and allocated in a manner as 14
determined by the Treasurer. These funds are provided for such 15
purposes as follows: 16
(a) To assist the Office of the District Attorney in 17
the 12th Circuit Court District in paying the costs associated 18
with the 12th Circuit Community 19
