AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS 1
OF THE JACKSON MUNICIPAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY TO PROVIDE MATCHING 2
FUNDS FOR FEDERAL FUNDING FOR MAKING REPAIRS, UPGRADES AND 3
IMPROVEMENTS AT THE JACKSON-MEDGAR WILEY EVERS INTERNATIONAL 4
AIRPORT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Board of Commissioners of 9
the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority to provide matching funds 10
for federal funding for making repairs, upgrades and improvements 11
at the Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport for the 12
fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027...... 13

SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 15
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 16
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 17
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 18

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 19
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 20
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 21
and after July 1, 2026. 22
