HOUSE BILL NO. 1302

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 1
SAFETY PATROL SPECIAL OPERATIONS TEAM TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS 2
ASSOCIATED WITH THE MISSISSIPPI SEARCH AND RESCUE PROGRAM FOR THE 3
FISCAL YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Mississippi Highway Safety 8
Patrol Special Operations Team to assist in paying costs 9
associated with equipment acquisition, maintenance and training 10
for the Mississippi Search and Rescue Program created by House 11
Bill No. ______, 2026 Regular Session, for the fiscal year 12
beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027......$100,000.00. 13
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 14
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 15
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 16
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 17
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 18
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 19
