HOUSE BILL NO. 1329

AN ACT TO DESIGNATE THE OVERPASS BRIDGE SYSTEM CONNECTING 1
INTERSTATE 55 TO INTERSTATE 20, KNOWN AS THE "STACK," AND LOCATED 2
IN HINDS AND RANKIN COUNTIES, MISSISSIPPI, AS THE "CHARLIE KIRK 3
MEMORIAL OVERPASS"; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. (1) The overpass bridge system connecting 6
Interstate 55 to Interstate 20, known as the "Stack," and located 7
in Hinds and Rankin Counties, Mississippi, is designated and shall 8
be known as the "Charlie Kirk Memorial Overpass." 9
(2) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect 10
and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segment 11
of highway described in subsection (1) of this section. 12
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 13
and after July 1, 2026. 14
