HOUSE BILL NO. 1339

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE AMERICAN LEGION ALLEIN 1
POST #3 IN VICKSBURG TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
PROVIDING VARIOUS SERVICES TO VETERANS AND OTHERS AND MAKING 3
REPAIRS AND UPGRADES TO THE AMERICAN LEGION BUILDING AND THE 4
SURROUNDING PROPERTY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the American Legion Allein 9
Post #3 in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to assist in paying costs 10
associated with providing various services to veterans and others 11
and making repairs and upgrades to the American Legion Building 12
and the surrounding property for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 13
2026, and ending June 30, 2027........................ $ 175,000.00 14
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 15
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 16
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 17
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 18

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 19
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 20
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 21
and after July 1, 2026. 22
