HOUSE BILL NO. 1340

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE VETERANS OF FOREIGN 1
WARS (VFW) POST 2572 IN VICKSBURG TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS 2
ASSOCIATED WITH OPERATING EXPENSES FOR THE VFW BUILDING AND MAKING 3
INDOOR REPAIRS AND IMPROVEMENTS AND OUTDOOR REPAIRS AND BUILDING 4
STABILIZATION FOR THE VFW BUILDING FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Veterans of Foreign Wars 9
(VFW) Post 2572 in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to assist in paying 10
costs associated with operating expenses for the VFW Building and 11
making indoor repairs and improvements and outdoor repairs and 12
building stabilization for the VFW Building for the fiscal year 13
beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027....... $ 84,415.00 14
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 15
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 16
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 17
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 18

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 19
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 20
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 21
