HOUSE BILL NO. 1402

AN ACT TO DESIGNATE A SEGMENT OF MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 537 1
LOCATED IN YAZOO COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, AS THE "COLONEL DONNELL 2
BERRY MEMORIAL HIGHWAY"; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 4
SECTION 1. (1) A segment of U.S. Highway 49 North located 5
in Yazoo County, Mississippi, and extending for a distance of 6
approximately one (1) mile is designated and shall be known as the 7
"Colonel Donnell Berry Memorial Highway." 8
(2) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect 9
and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segment 10
of highway described in subsection (1) of this section. 11
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 12
and after July 1, 2026. 13
