AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF 1
HEALTH FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDING FOR ESTABLISHING AND 2
SUPPORTING A GRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION RESIDENCY PROGRAM AT THE 3
DELTA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER IN GREENVILLE, MISSISSIPPI, FOR THE 4
FISCAL YEAR 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the State Department of Health 9
for the purpose of providing funding for establishing and 10
supporting a graduate medical education residency program at the 11
Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, Mississippi, for the 12
fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027...... 13

SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be 15
financial support specifically appropriated for graduate medical 16
education residency programs as authorized by Section 41-123-7, 17
Mississippi Code of 1972. 18

SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 19
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 20
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 21
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 22
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 23
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 24
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 25
and after July 1, 2026. 26
