AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 89-10-5, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO 1
REMOVE LANGUAGE REGARDING PROPERTY RIGHTS RESTRICTIONS; AND FOR 2
RELATED PURPOSES. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 4
SECTION 1. Section 89-10-5, Mississippi Code of 1972, is 5
amended as follows: 6
89-10-5. * * * 7
* * * The right to manage, control or receive payments for 8
any use of real property shall only belong to the owner of the 9
property or a person designated by the owner for such purposes. 10
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 11
and after July 1, 2026. 12
