HOUSE BILL NO. 1766

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF 1
MISSISSIPPI DELTA COMMUNITY COLLEGE TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS 2
ASSOCIATED WITH CONSTRUCTING A NEW RESIDENCE HALL FACILITY TO 3
ACCOMMODATE TRAINING OFFICERS OF THE COLLEGE'S LAW ENFORCEMENT 4
TRAINING ACADEMY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Board of Trustees of 9
Mississippi Delta Community College to assist in paying costs 10
associated with constructing a new residence hall facility to 11
accommodate training officers of the college's Law Enforcement 12
Training Academy for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and 13
ending June 30, 2027............................... $ 10,000,000.00 14
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 15
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 16
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 17
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 18

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 19
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 20
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 21
and after July 1, 2026. 22
