HOUSE BILL NO. 1775

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF 1
PHILADELPHIA, MISSISSIPPI, TO MAKE A CONTRIBUTION TO PHILADELPHIA 2
TRANSIT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 4
SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of 5
Philadelphia, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in their 6
discretion, to make a one-time donation from the city's general 7
fund in an amount not to exceed Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00), 8
during calendar year 2026, to Philadelphia Transit, which is a 9
nonprofit organization that provides transportation services for 10
senior citizens, disabled citizens, low-income families and the 11
general public in east central Mississippi, including the City of 12
Philadelphia. 13
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 14
and after its passage. 15
