AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DELTA ADVANTAGE CENTER 1
TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PURCHASING A C-MODEL 2
MOBILE MARKET TRUCK AND RELATED EQUIPMENT, AND FOOD STAGING AND 3
PREPARATORY PURPOSES, TO IMPROVE ACCESS TO FRESH FOOD IN RURAL 4
COMMUNITIES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Delta Advantage Center to 9
assist in paying costs associated with purchasing a C-Model mobile 10
market truck and related equipment, and food staging and 11
preparatory purposes, to improve access to fresh food in rural 12
communities for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending 13
June 30, 2027.......................................... $300,000.00 14
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 15
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 16
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 17
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 18

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 19
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 20
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 21
and after July 1, 2026. 22
