HOUSE BILL NO. 1778

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES 1
OF THE CITY OF INDIANOLA TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
CONSTRUCTION, RECONSTRUCTION, REPAIRS, UPGRADES AND IMPROVEMENTS 3
TO AN ACCESS ROAD AT AND NEAR THE ENTRANCE TO THE INDIANOLA 4
AIRPORT AND INDUSTRIAL PARK FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the governing authorities of 9
the City of Indianola, Mississippi, to assist in paying costs 10
associated with construction, reconstruction, repairs, upgrades 11
and improvements to an access road at and near the entrance to the 12
Indianola Airport and Industrial Park for the fiscal year 13
beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027....... $350,000.00 14
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 15
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 16
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 17
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 18

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 19
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 20
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 21
and after July 1, 2026. 22
