HOUSE BILL NO. 1784

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF 1
THE SUNFLOWER COUNTY CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT TO ASSIST IN 2
PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE DISTRICT'S LEADER IN ME PROGRAM 3
FOR THE PROMOTION OF WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT FOR SUNFLOWER COUNTY 4
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Board of Education of the 9
Sunflower County Consolidated School District to assist in paying 10
costs associated with the district's Leader in Me Program for the 11
promotion of workforce development for Sunflower County for the 12
fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027...... 13

SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 15
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 16
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 17
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 18

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 19
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 20
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 21
and after July 1, 2026. 22
