HOUSE BILL NO. 1799

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF 1
STATE INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER LEARNING FOR THE PURPOSE OF MAKING 2
REPAIRS AND RENOVATIONS OF FACILITIES AND OTHER STRUCTURES ON THE 3
CAMPUS OF ALCORN STATE UNIVERSITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the Capital Expense 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Board of Trustees of State 8
Institutions of Higher Learning for the purpose of making repairs 9
and renovations of facilities and other structures on the campus 10
of Alcorn State University for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 11
2026, and ending June 30, 2027................... $ 80,000,000.00. 12
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 13
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the Capital Expense 14
Fund not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 15
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 16
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 17
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 18

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 19
