AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE TOWN OF MARION TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONSTRUCTION, RECONSTRUCTION, DEVELOPMENT, UPGRADES AND OTHER IMPROVEMENTS AT AND NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF DALE DRIVE AND NE INDUSTRIAL PARK DRIVE, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ADDING LANES TO DALE DRIVE AND TO NE INDUSTRIAL PARK DRIVE IN THE TOWN FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027.

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES 1
OF THE TOWN OF MARION TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
THE CONSTRUCTION, RECONSTRUCTION, DEVELOPMENT, UPGRADES AND OTHER 3
IMPROVEMENTS AT AND NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF DALE DRIVE AND NE 4
INDUSTRIAL PARK DRIVE, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ADDING LANES 5
TO DALE DRIVE AND TO NE INDUSTRIAL PARK DRIVE IN THE TOWN FOR THE 6
FISCAL YEAR 2027. 7
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 8
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 9
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 10
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the governing authorities of 11
the Town of Marion, Mississippi, to assist in paying costs 12
associated with the construction, reconstruction, development, 13
upgrades and other improvements at and near the intersection of 14
Dale Drive and NE Industrial Park Drive, including, but not 15
limited to, adding lanes to Dale Drive and to NE Industrial Park 16
Drive in the town for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and 17
ending June 30, 2027................................. $1,800,000.00 18
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 19
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 20

not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 21
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 22
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 23
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 24
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 25
and after July 1, 2026. 26
