BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 10
SECTION 1. Chapter 903, Local and Private Laws of 2021, is 11
amended as follows: 12
Section 1. (1) The Board of Supervisors of Noxubee County, 13
Mississippi, in its discretion, is authorized, by resolution duly 14
adopted, to levy an assessment, in addition to any other 15
assessments and court costs in the Justice Court of Noxubee 16
County, as follows: 17
(a) An amount not to exceed Fifty Dollars ($50.00) on 18
each conviction or nonadjudication under the Mississippi Implied 19
Consent Law; and 20

(b) An amount not to exceed Twenty-five Dollars 21
($25.00) on each misdemeanor conviction or nonadjudication other 22
than those specified in paragraph (a) of this subsection, and on 23
each civil case filed. 24
(2) The avails of the additional assessment imposed under 25
subsection (1) of this section shall be placed in a special fund 26
of Noxubee County designated the "Noxubee County Capital 27
Improvements Fund" and shall be expended by the Board of 28
Supervisors to fund capital improvements in the county. 29
(3) This section shall be repealed from and after July 30
1, * * * 2030. 31
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 32
and after its passage. 33
