HOUSE BILL NO. 1823

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF 1
EDUCATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDS FOR THE STUDENT 24/7 2
TELETHERAPY PILOT PROJECT ESTABLISHED UNDER HOUSE BILL NO. 1463, 3
2026 REGULAR SESSION, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State Treasury 7
to the credit of the Education Enhancement Fund not otherwise 8
appropriated, to the State Department of Education for the purpose 9
of providing funds for the Student 24/7 Teletherapy Pilot Project 10
established under House Bill No. 1463, 2026 Regular Session, for 11
the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027 12

SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 14
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State Treasury to 15
the credit of the Education Enhancement Fund not otherwise 16
appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer; 17
and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or her warrants upon 18

requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers in 19
the manner provided by law. 20
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 21
and after July 1, 2026. 22
