HOUSE BILL NO. 1831

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF HUMPHREYS 1
COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE FANNIE LOU HAMER 2
CANCER FOUNDATION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 4
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Humphreys County, 5
Mississippi, in its discretion, is authorized to contribute an 6
amount not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) during 7
calendar year 2026, out of any available funds of the county 8
general fund, to the Fannie Lou Hamer Cancer Foundation, a 9
501(c)(3) corporation, which provides education regarding the 10
prevention and protection from cancer. 11
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 12
and after its passage. 13
