AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF 1
ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
PURCHASING A MOBILE AIR-QUALITY MONITORING VAN FOR THE AIR 3
DIVISION TO USE FOR COMMUNITY-BASED MONITORING FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 4

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Department of 9
Environmental Quality to assist in paying costs associated with 10
purchasing a mobile air-quality monitoring van for the Air 11
Division of the department to use for community-based monitoring 12
for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 13
2027.................................................. $ 800,000.00 14
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 15
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 16
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 17
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 18

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 19
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 20
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 21
and after July 1, 2026. 22
