AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES 1
OF THE TOWN OF SUMMIT TO ASSIST THE SUMMIT RURAL FIRE DEPARTMENT 2
IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH COMPLETING THE DRIVEWAYS AND 3
PARKING AT THE FIRE STATION LOCATED ON THE SOUTHWEST MISSISSIPPI 4
COMMUNITY COLLEGE CAMPUS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the governing authorities of 9
the Town of Summit, Mississippi, to assist the Summit Rural Fire 10
Department in paying costs associated with completing the 11
driveways and parking at the fire station located on the Southwest 12
Mississippi Community College campus for the fiscal year beginning 13
July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027................. $ 80,000.00 14
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 15
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 16
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 17
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 18

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 19
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 20
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 21
and after July 1, 2026. 22
