HOUSE BILL NO. 1865

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF 1
JEFFERSON COUNTY TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE 2
REPAIR AND RENOVATION OF THE JEFFERSON COUNTY NURSING HOME AND 3
MAKING UPGRADES AND IMPROVEMENTS TO ITS BUILDINGS AND RELATED 4
FACILITIES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Board of Supervisors of 9
Jefferson County, Mississippi, to assist in paying costs 10
associated with the repair and renovation of the Jefferson County 11
Nursing Home and making upgrades and improvements to its buildings 12
and related facilities for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, 13
and ending June 30, 2027.............................. $ 200,000.00 14
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 15
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 16
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 17
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 18

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 19
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 20
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 21
and after July 1, 2026. 22
