HOUSE BILL NO. 1887

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF HUMPHREYS 1
COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE IMPROVED 2
BENEVOLENT PROTECTIVE ELKS OF THE WORLD HILL LODGE #811; AND FOR 3
RELATED PURPOSES. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Humphreys County, 6
Mississippi, in its discretion, is authorized to contribute an 7
amount not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) during 8
calendar year 2026, out of any available funds of the county, to 9
the Improved Benevolent Protective Elks of the World Hill Lodge 10
#811, an active nonprofit organization, which is classified as a 11
501(c)(8) Fraternal Beneficiary Society, that provides needed 12
community and civic services to the residents of Humphreys County. 13
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 14
and after its passage. 15
