HOUSE BILL NO. 1959

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES 1
OF THE TOWN OF DERMA TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
WATER TANK RENOVATIONS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 4
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 5
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 6
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the governing authorities of 7
the Town of Derma, Mississippi, to assist in paying costs 8
associated with water tank renovations for the fiscal year 9
beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027...... $300,000.00. 10
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 11
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 12
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 13
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 14
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 15
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 16
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 17
and after July 1, 2026. 18
