HOUSE BILL NO. 1974

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES 1
OF THE TOWN OF BRUCE TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
CERTAIN FENCING IMPROVEMENTS AND LIGHTING FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 3
2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the governing authorities of 8
the Town of Bruce, Mississippi, to assist in paying costs 9
associated with fencing improvements at the town park, fencing 10
improvements at the old National Guard Armory, and lighting for 11
soccer fields for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and 12
ending June 30, 2027....................................$75,000.00 13
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 14
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 15
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 16
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 17
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 18
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 19
