HOUSE BILL NO. 1986

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE SABOUGLA VOLUNTEER FIRE 1
DEPARTMENT IN CALHOUN COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO ASSIST IN PAYING 2
COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PURCHASING A FIRE TRUCK FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 3
2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Sabougla Volunteer Fire 8
Department in Calhoun County, Mississippi, to assist in paying 9
costs associated with purchasing a fire truck for the fiscal year 10
beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027....... $ 50,000.00 11
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 12
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 13
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 14
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue the 15
warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or 16
officers in the manner provided by law. 17
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 18
and after July 1, 2026. 19
