AN ACT TO REQUIRE THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES TO DEVELOP 1
AND USE A PROCESS TO HELP ENSURE THAT SUBGRANTEES THAT RECEIVE 2
GRANT FUNDS FROM THE DEPARTMENT SUFFICIENTLY REFLECT THE 3
DEMOGRAPHIC MAKEUP OF THE ELIGIBLE POPULATION FOR THE PROGRAM FOR 4
WHICH THE GRANTS ARE MADE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The Department of Human Services shall develop 7
and use a process when selecting subgrantees that will receive 8
grant funds from the department which will help ensure that the 9
subgrantees that are selected sufficiently reflect the demographic 10
makeup of the eligible population for the program for which the 11
grants are made. 12
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 13
and after its passage. 14
