HOUSE BILL NO. 230

AN ACT TO DIRECT THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES TO 1
REINSTATE THE PROGRAM OF PROVIDING NUTRITIONALLY BALANCED MEALS TO 2
OLDER INDIVIDUALS IN COMMUNITY SETTINGS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 4
SECTION 1. The Department of Human Services shall reinstate 5
the program of providing nutritionally balanced meals to older 6
individuals in community settings, such as congregate meal sites 7
within senior centers. 8
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 9
and after July 1, 2026. 10
