HOUSE BILL NO. 266

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE, 1
FISHERIES AND PARKS TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
MAKING RENOVATIONS AND UPGRADES TO HOLMES COUNTY STATE PARK IN 3
LEXINGTON FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Department of Wildlife, 8
Fisheries and Parks to assist in paying costs associated with 9
making renovations and upgrades to Holmes County State Park in 10
Lexington for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending 11
June 30, 2027....................................... $10,000,000.00 12
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 13
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 14
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 15
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 16
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 17
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 18
