AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME SHALL BE THE 1
YEAR-ROUND STANDARD TIME OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI IF FEDERAL 2
LAW IS AMENDED TO AUTHORIZE STATES TO OBSERVE DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME 3
YEAR-ROUND; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. If the United States Congress amends 15 USC 260a 6
to authorize states to observe daylight saving time year-round, 7
daylight saving time shall be the year-round standard time of the 8
State of Mississippi and all of its political subdivisions. 9
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 10
and after July 1, 2026. 11
