HOUSE BILL NO. 286

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES 1
OF THE CITY OF PEARL TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE 2
CONSTRUCTION OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT THE INTERSECTION OF 3
MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 468 AND MURRAY DRIVE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the governing authorities of 8
the City of Pearl, Mississippi, to assist in paying costs 9
associated with the construction of a traffic signal at the 10
intersection of Mississippi Highway 468 and Murray Drive for the 11
fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027 12

SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 14
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 15
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 16
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 17
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 18
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 19

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 20
and after July 1, 2026. 21
