HOUSE BILL NO. 296

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF 1
TUNICA COUNTY TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH REPAVING 2
AND REPAIRING TRAFFIC LIGHTS ON CASINO STRIP RESORT BOULEVARD FOR 3
THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated to the Board of Supervisors of 8
Tunica County, Mississippi, to assist in paying costs associated 9
with repaving and repairing traffic lights on Casino Strip Resort 10
Boulevard for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending 11
June 30, 2027.......................................$2,000,000.00. 12
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 13
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 14
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 15
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue the 16
warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or 17
officers in the manner provided by law. 18
