AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF 1

THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 6
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 7
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 8
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 9
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Department of Employment 10
Security as fiscal agent for the Office of Workforce Development 11
for the purpose of funding the Mississippi Connecting Career and 12
Technical Education Employability (MissCATEE) Program, as 13
established in House Bill No. , 2026 Regular Session, for the 14
fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027...... 15

SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 17
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 18
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 19
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 20

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 21
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 22
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 23
and after July 1, 2026. 24
